violations in the areas of veterinary care, facilities/housing, and
Institutional Animal Care & Use Committee. Testing at Charles River
caused unrelieved pain and distress to many animals causing killing 21
animals and forcing the killing of 20 more. These violations include

Violations in the area of inadequate veterinary care
included an untreated broken leg in a rabbit and another rabbit who had
a 16.5% weight loss in 9 days (same date):
This facility is also cited for inadequate enclosures
which caused serious injuries to dogs (7/21/05):
